  • Campgrounds near Lake Ontario fill up fast during Harborfest weekend — reserve your site as early as possible.

  • Most sites are 15–25 minutes from the festival grounds with easy highway access.

  • Camping is a great option for groups — more space, more flexibility, and a fraction of the hotel cost.

  • Check if your site allows campfires — many lakeside campgrounds do, making for a perfect end to a festival night.

4 tips for booking smart

Book as early as possible. Rooms near the waterfront sell out months before the festival. Don't wait until June.

Thursday and Sunday are cheaper. Friday and Saturday are peak nights — if you can, arrive Thursday to get ahead of the rush.

Check cancellation policies. Plans change — book a flexible rate if you can, especially if the lineup hasn't been announced yet.

Parking matters. Look for accommodations with on-site parking — downtown street parking fills up fast on headliner nights.
