Central New York’s biggest and best fireworks display will return for the 35th edition of Harborfest thanks to the support of Pathfinder Bank. The bank’s financial support ensures that the Grucci Family’s annual display of color and sound synched to music will color the sky over Oswego’s harbor beginning at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, July 27. The show, like all of Harborfest, is free of charge. The festival runs from Thursday, July 25 to Sunday, July 28.
“We are proud to serve as sole sponsor of the Harborfest Fireworks again this year,” says James Dowd, President and CEO of Pathfinder Bank. “For years, we have invested in the communities that we serve through various means, including supporting the arts and culture. Our longstanding partnership with Harborfest has given us the opportunity to witness the festival’s positive economic impact on the City of Oswego, benefiting its residents and small businesses alike. We applaud the city and the festival committee for their dedication and hard work in organizing this event. We look forward to being a part of Harborfest once again and seeing everyone this summer.”
“There’s nothing like Harborfest’s fireworks show. It draws thousands of families to the lakeshore to marvel at a performance unlike anything in the region. We are grateful to our friends and neighbors at Pathfinder Bank for their continued support of a treasured tradition,” said Dan Harrington, Harborfest Executive Director.
Once again in 2024, the city of Oswego has contributed financially towards renting the tugboat and barges needed for the fireworks, while the Port of Oswego donates manpower, free docking and around-the-clock security.
The fireworks are only part of a full day of great entertainment on the Constellation Energy Lakeview Stage, beginning at 1:15 p.m. with The Billionaires, sponsored by PAC & Associates of Oswego, Inc. at 3:15 p.m., it’s Heart tribute group Little Queen, followed at 5:30 p.m. by The Arcade – Musical Tribute to the 80’s. Veteran dance band Atlas kicks off the evening party at 8 p.m., with rockers Rydher keeping the party rolling after the fireworks.
Syracuse’s Dinosaur Radio is also a returning sponsor, again broadcasting the music of the fireworks show. The Dinosaur can be heard on FM frequencies 94.1, 95.3 and 103.9, with 103.9 being the best for reception in Oswego.
