Oswego, NY (January 3, 2017)- The team at Oswego Harborfest collaborated with the Oswego Elks Lodge #271 on their Veterans Program initiative earlier this holiday season. The festival donated t-shirts that were delivered to the VA Hospital in Syracuse, which will be for the veterans’ use.
The Executive Director also presented Leighton Elementary School’s Principal Mrs. Kara Shore with Harborfest t-shirts. These shirts will be distributed to students as needed.
Executive Director Peter Myles said, “This is Harborfest’s 30th anniversary. Making this festival special also means giving back to the community that supports us.”
Harborfest is one of the few admission-free music festivals in the country. It was founded with the mission of creating nationally recognized festivals and events that attract and engage a broad and diverse audience, celebrate and build community, and advance economic development in Oswego, New York. It would not be possible to continue the event without the massive continued support received from the City of Oswego, businesses, organizations, government entities, and individuals and family members.
