Harborfest Executive Director Dan Harrington presents a check and a framed print of the 2025 Harborfest poster to Brenna Riley, who created the winning poster entry.
An Oswego graphic designer has won the competition to create the official poster for the 2025 edition of Harborfest. Brenna Riley’s hand-drawn design was chosen from among a dozen submissions to represent the festival. She earned $100 for her work, which will be reproduced and placed in many offices and businesses throughout the area.
Riley is 27 and the owner of Brenza Art, a graphic design business she founded after one of her creations went viral on social media. “What inspired me about the poster design was being able to create something special for the community that gave me so much growing up. I wanted people to feel nostalgic looking at this design,” she said. “When I was creating this, I pictured myself sitting outside of Gibby’s Irish Pub, looking out and seeing the midway and lighthouse during the fireworks. My favorite place to be!”
“We loved all of the designs people submitted but Brenna’s stood out for its originality.” said Dan Harrington, Executive Director. “We’re proud to make this the symbol of this year’s festival and thank everyone for the work they put in on their designs.”
