Oswego Harborfest starts its 32nd year out on Thursday July 25, with Brass Inc. as the opener and The Electric Lynne Orchestra (also known as the ELO Show) following. Brass Inc. is one of the regional favorites at the festival. The group is an exciting high energy nine-piece horn band from Syracuse New York. The diverse playing styles and musical backgrounds of the members enable them to entertain you with the hottest hits from some of the best bands. Performing songs from horn driven rock, classic rock, southern rock, rhythm and blues, funk, and today’s top hits, the band will keep you singing and dancing from start to finish.
Electric Lynne Orchestra is a 7-piece group of seasoned Phila area musicians celebrating the genius of ELO and its creator, songwriter/producer Jeff Lynne. The band consists of Mick Bodine (Vocals, Guitars), Paul Piccari (Bass, Vocals), Andre “Virus” Karkos (Guitars, Vocals), Tom Stewart Staszewski (Drums, Vocals), Alice Marie (Violins, Vocals), Chris McCoy (Keys, Vocals) and Ginger Smith (Cello).
With hits from ELO and Lynne produced artists, The Electric Lynne Orchestra is a sonic and visual multimedia show, featuring past and present members of Get The Led Out, Big & Rich, The Land Of Ozz, Dope, Rock of Ages Broadway, Barley Juice, Leather and Lace, and the Buddy Ca$h Band. The ELO Show accurately create the music of ELO and songs produced or written by Jeff Lynne from artists like George Harrison, Tom Petty, Traveling Wilburys, etc. A night of “ALL THINGS LYNNE”.
Harborfest is one of the few admission-free music festivals in the country. It was founded with the mission of creating nationally recognized festivals and events that attract and engage a broad and diverse audience, celebrate and build community, and advance economic development in Oswego, New York.
