They are…synonymous with Harborfest. They are..part of the copyrighted logo for the festival. They are…the “Fireworks Spectacular by Grucci”. For twenty five years, the signature venue for Harborfest has been the Saturday night fireworks display which has never been rained out.
The pre-festival buzz had been on-going for almost four months when headlining acts for 2013 were announced by Harborfest and some bands themselves on social media. The most talk seemed centered around the Friday night double header with Foghat and Blue Oyster Cult and the final act on Sunday with the Real Diamond show which was a tribute to Neil Diamond. Both of those billings lived up to the hype as the festival was great from start to finish in 2013.
Bridge Street Live at Harborfest was again a success at Harborfest in 2013 after debuting on the Lakeview Stage for the first time ever in 2012. An absolutely beautiful Friday morning greeted the production crew, show staff and the large crowd on hand to watch the popular weekday morning 10:00 AM talk show on WSYR News Channel 9, the Syracuse, New York affiliate for ABC Television.
The largest line-up annually at Harborfest on the NRG Oswego Harbor Power “Lakeview Stage” in Breitbeck Park, is reserved for Saturday afternoon and evening. That will again be the case on Saturday July 27, 2013 as Oswego’s Harborfest, New York State’s Premier Admission-Free Festival, will be proud to welcome great regional bands to the NRG Lakeview Stage before and after the world class Grucci fireworks display presented by Entergy.
The Oswego County Federal Credit Union Jazz & Blues Park will be the site of nearly a dozen bands for Harborfest in 2013. The popular eastside venue, located in Washington Square, traditionally is the setting for some of the best regional and national jazz and blues artists each year. Oswego’s Harborfest, New York State’s Premier Admission-Free Festival, will be proud to welcome three days full of great music to the Labatt Blue Light Jazz & Blues Stage from Friday through Sunday July 26-28, 2013.
