TO: ALL 2009 Harborfest VOLUNTEERS

On behalf of the Harborfest Staff and Board of Directors, I wanted to express my sincere gratitude for your cooperation and dedication to Harborfest 2009. It really says a lot when a group of strangers pull together to share their time and talent to support an event that draws over a quarter of a million people to the Oswego area for four days every July!

Pictures 004Not a smile, not a laugh, not one fantastic memory is possible without the assistance of our group of volunteers. The hundreds of volunteers who freely give their time are the backbone of the event. As the community’s festival, Harborfest is a success because of the energy, expertise, and enthusiasm of its volunteer team.

There were over 500 people that made up our volunteer list for various jobs ranging from memorabilia to trolley helpers to parking attendants — with many working more than one shift, for a total of 650 shifts, totaling more than 2600 volunteer hours.

I hope to see you all next year. Thank you again for being part of our volunteer family for 2009. With your help, we look forward to staging an enjoyable and successful Harborfest 2010.

Thank you again for your help.

Michael Petrilli
