American Country Music Legend Doug Stone headlines the Ya’ll American Country Tour, presented by B104.7, that takes over Harborfest on the NRG Lakeview Stage this afternoon on the final day of Harborfest 2010. Also appearing as part of the concert will be Burns & Poe, Bill Gentry and Jonalee White. The Ya’ll American Country Tour hits the stage beginning at 1 PM.
Saturday at Harborfest 2010 is highlighted by live music on three different stages at three different Harborfest venues.
At Breitbeck Park on the NRG Lakeview Stage, the 42nd Infantry Division Band kicks things off at 4 PM, followed by The Jody Raffoul Band at 6 PM. At 8:15, The Fabulous Thunderbirds take the stage and then following the Entegy Nuclear Fireworks at dark, the T-birds return to the stage for a 2nd set of live music.
THE ENTERGY NUCLEAR FIREWORKS ARE STILL GOING ON AS SCHEDULED. RAIN IS SCHEDULED TO MOVE THROUGH THE AREA BY 8:30 PM – JUST IN TIME FOR THE FIREWORKS AND SATURDAY NIGHT CONCERT WITH THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS.
The Harborfest Children’s Parade originally scheduled for Friday morning has been rescheduled for Saturday, July 24 at 12 noon. The Parade, sponsored by Oswego Health, will start at East Park and the route will take participants to the Novelis Family Park at Fort Ontario. Pre-parade festivities will be limited, but all children are encouraged to come and join in the fun.
KANSAS, one of America’s greatest and most successful progressive rock bands, headlines Friday, July 23 at Harborfest 2010. Despite the rain earlier in the day, all venues at Harborfest are open, including Breitbeck Park, East Park – home fo the Jazz & Blues Stage; and Riverwalk West – featuring live music until 8:30 PM. Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, a long time supporter of Harborfest will sponsor the Friday, July 23 concert on the Lakeview Stage in Breitbeck Park beginning at approximately 9:30 PM.
Eagle Beverage and Budweiser brings one of Australia’s most revered rock bands, LITTLE RIVER BAND, to Opening Night at Oswego Harborfest. With more than 25 million records sold and 13 American Top 40 hits, Little River Band has been recording and touring since 1975 with hits such as “Reminiscing”, “Lady” and “Cool Change”.

The Oswego Public Library opens an exhibit today that features all the Oswego High School’s graphic art classes 2010 Harborfest Poster Design entries. During this past school year, Harborfest and the Oswego City School District teamed up on a design contest to determine the 2010 Harborfest design theme to be used on the cover of this year’s program, Harborfest Information Guide and as the Harborfest 2010 commemorative poster.
Once again this year, Oswego Health has thrown it’s support behind the Harborfest Children’s Parade. This year’s parade will take place Friday, July 23 beginning at 11 AM.
The 2010 Harborfest Children’s Gala is set for Tuesday, July 20 at Fort Ontario. Tickets are just $5 and are available at the Harborfest offices.
Veteran bluesman WC CLARK and his Blues Revue will headline Saturday on the East Park Jazz & Blues Stage at Oswego Harborfest. The WC Clark Blues Revue will perform sets prior to and immediately after the Entergy Nuclear Fireworks Spectacular Saturday, July 24. Joining the WC Clark Blues Revue on stage Saturday at East Park will be Hard Logic, Salsamba Latin Jazz Group and the Yonrico Scott Band.
Opening night of jazz and blues highlights the return of East Park as a featured venue at Harborfest. Oswego County Federal Credit Union will sponsor the Friday Night concert featuring The Kirsten Thien Band and Bill Morganfield that starts at 7:30 PM on the Jazz & Blues Stage.
THE FABULOUS THUNDERBIRDS have been a quintessential American band for over 30 years, and now they’re bringing their distinctive and powerful sound to Harborfest. The Fabulous Thunderbirds will prepare everyone for the Entergy Nuclear Fireworks Spectacular with a pre-festival set and then follow the fireworks with a second musical set.
Newcomer Bill Gentry has replaced TulluRide in the Ya’ll American Country Tour that will hit the NRG Lakeview stage at Harborfest on Sunday, July 25. Gentry joins headliner Doug Stone, Burns & Poe and Jonalee White fo rthe Sunday afternoon of great music and fun. The Ya’ll American Country Tour hits the stage beginning at 1 PM.

Each year festival organizers listen to entries from songwriters hoping to strike the right chord and have their musical composition selected as the official Harborfest 2010 song.

The world famous Entergy Nuclear Harborfest Fireworks by Grucci of New York will be Saturday, July 24 at approximately 9:30 PM. For the 23rd consecutive year, the Saturday night fireworks show will highlight the annual free admission music festival on the shores of southeast Lake Ontario.
Oswego Harborfest announced today that the 2010 Children’s Musical will be “The Three Musketeers”. The musical production is taken directly from the French literary classic by Alexandre Dumas. Auditions for “The Three Musketeers” will take place April 27 & 28 at the McCrobie Building.
Oswego Harbor Festivals, Inc. recently welcomed two new members to the board of directors. Oswego County Legislators Jacob Mulcahey and Amy Tresidder were unanimously approved at the most recent Harborfest Board of Directors meeting.

One of Australia’s most revered rock bands, LITTLE RIVER BAND, will be the featured artist Opening Night at Oswego Harborfest. Little River Band has been recording and touring since 1975 with hits such as “Reminiscing”, “Lady” and “Cool Change”.
Three major sponsors have renewed their support of Harborfest for 2010. Alliance Bank, Novelis and NRG Energy have all agreed to a 2010 sponsorship package.
ALLIANCE BANK has once again thrown their support behind the Harborfest Kick-Off Gala that is held the night before Harborfest officially opens.
Oswego Harbor Festivals, Inc. recently welcomed three new members to the board of directors. Dan Dorsey, Jr., 2nd Vice President of the Harborfest Board and Chairperson of the Nominating Committee recommended Brian Chetney, Mike Domicolo and Mike Myers to each serve a three-year term on the board.
Harborfest is now accepting applications for spring and summer 2010 internships. Harborfest can offer a variety of internship options with a variety of areas of concentration.
FRED POLLARD has been named Sponsorship/Membership Manager for Oswego Harborfest, it was announced today. POLLARD will oversee all aspects of sponsorships, memberships and fundraising for Harborfest.
Harborfest officials announced today the return of East Park as a venue for Harborfest 2010.
